If you’ve applied for the Prime Minister Youth Business & Agriculture Loan Scheme (PMYP), you can check your application status online using only your CNIC number.
There’s no login, no password, and no separate account to create. The official portal is built around a single field: your CNIC.
This page walks through how to check your status, what each result means, and what to do if the portal doesn’t show what you expect.
Checking your status by CNIC
Visit the official tracking portal at pmybals.pmyp.gov.pk.
- Look for “Application Status” or “Trace Application” on the homepage — both lead to the same tracking form
- Enter your 13-digit CNIC number exactly as it appears on your card (dashes aren’t usually needed)
- Submit the form — your current status displays immediately
You’ll generally see one of four results:
- Under Review — your application is still being processed internally
- Sent to Bank — it has passed initial screening and moved to your selected bank for verification and disbursement
- Approved — your loan has been cleared
- Rejected — it didn’t meet the criteria at some stage of review
Each result reflects a distinct point in the approval pipeline, so knowing which one you’re seeing tells you roughly how far along your application is.
What “no record found” actually means
A common outcome is the portal returning “no record found,” even when you’re certain you applied.
In most cases, this comes down to one of a few things:
- A single incorrect digit entered in the CNIC field
- A formatting issue with dashes or spaces
- A short delay between submission and the record appearing in the system
Re-enter your CNIC carefully and try again after a short wait. If the result is the same after 24 hours, treat it as a signal your original application may not have gone through.
At that point, reapplying through the same portal — or contacting the bank branch where you submitted your documents — is the fastest way to confirm what happened.
Tracking without an Application ID
Many applicants worry they can’t check status because they lost or never wrote down their Application ID. That’s not actually a problem.
CNIC alone is sufficient to pull up your record. The Application ID exists mainly as a secondary lookup method — useful if the system needs to tell apart multiple applications tied to the same household or business, but not required for a standard status check.
If you do have it, keep it saved. Some banks ask for it directly when you call for an update, rather than searching by CNIC on their end.
When status doesn’t change for weeks
The typical processing window for a PMYP application is 30 to 45 working days from submission to a final decision.
Within that period, it’s normal for your status to sit at “Under Review” without visible movement. A lot happens behind the scenes that the portal doesn’t reflect in real time, including:
- NADRA identity verification
- Business plan evaluation
- Credit history checks carried out by the bank, not the portal
If you’re well past 45 working days with no change, the more effective step isn’t refreshing the tracking page repeatedly. Contact the specific bank you applied through directly — they’re holding your file at that stage and can usually give a more specific update than the portal.
A note on CNIC and privacy
Tracking only requires a CNIC and no password. In theory, anyone with your CNIC number could look up your application status.
This is standard for how the portal is designed. It’s still a good reason to treat your CNIC with the same care as any other personal identifier.
Be cautious of any third-party website asking you to “log in” with extra personal details just to check status — the official process never requires that.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to log in to check my PMYP status?
No. Entering your CNIC is enough — there’s no separate login step on the official portal.
Is the tracking portal available at all times?
Yes, you can check your status online any time, day or night.
Can someone else check my status if they have my CNIC?
Yes, technically. Since no password is required, anyone with your CNIC number could pull up your status.
What should I do if my status shows “Rejected”?
Review your original application for missing documents, incomplete fields, or inconsistencies. Then either reapply, or contact your bank to ask what specifically caused the rejection.
Why does my status still say “Under Review” after more than a month?
This is common and doesn’t necessarily indicate a problem. Verification steps like NADRA checks and bank-side credit review can extend the timeline. Past 45 working days, contact your bank rather than continuing to check the portal alone.
